Nestled in the awe-inspiring grandeur of the Himalayas, this retreat invites you to embark on a profound journey of inner transformation. Far from the distractions of daily life, this sacred space offers a rare opportunity for you to reconnect with your truest self – guided by the rhythms of nature, the wisdom of the land, and the strength of the natives.
This immersive retreat is an invitation to embark on a deeply transformative journey, one that reconnects you with your true essence. Does your soul resonate with the energy and spirit of the mountains? Do you feel in your essence, that you are a mountain person? Then this retreat is one which will help you connect with your profound calling.
The majestic mountains are a reminder of the vast, timeless power and beauty of nature, allowing you to slow down and reconnect with the quiet, natural flow of life. Each day unfolds a new theme, creating space for self-reflection and creative expression.
You will cultivate a deep sense of connection—both to one another and to the wisdom that lives within the land itself. Throughout the retreat you will be moving through practices designed to unlock your flow as a form of personal expression.
In this safe and nurturing space, you are invited to explore your essence and embrace the beauty of who you are. Through daily yoga, deep self-inquiry, and connection with one of the wisest giants of our planet – the Himalayas, this retreat offers an unparalleled opportunity to recalibrate, renew, and rediscover the depth of your own wisdom.
So you will not only carry the transformative power of the Himalayas within you but will leave with a renewed sense of connection—to yourself, to others, and to the world around you!
All of this, in a place which is truly spellbinding, where every few seconds, you will have to pinch yourself that you find yourself amidst such a heaven.
When we first laid down the idea of this retreat, we wanted to bring together both of our energies, for folks from every walk and aspect of life, to come experience this magical place. Frauke with her immense knowledge and wisdom of Yoga and Siddharth with his absolute affinity towards mountains and outdoors. However, both of us have one common love, one common ground…our love towards nature, all of the magical beings we share our existence with…our Mama Earth! We want to connect people through movement, but also with nature and Ladakh is a place of such pureness.
With our knowledge combined, we want to put forth an experiential retreat which will connect you with movement, people, animals and above all Mother Nature.
* Small Group – 8 to 10 people max. We want to hold space for a small but intimate group, ensuring each and every detail will be a memory which you will cherish forever.
* Staying with a native family – to visit such a raw region, you have to experience the humble warmth and love of the people which call it their home.
* Gardening/Harvesting – Although Ladakh is known for its harsh climate and high altitude – its also the land of chamomile, seabuckthorn, and apricot as they thrive in the unique environment. We will be spending time, understanding the native flora and also with our hosts, plucking some amazing produce, cooking some rustic authentic food.
* Visiting Monasteries – Understanding a bit better about the native traditions and their spirituality – one of the oldest sources and foundation of Buddhism.
* Art Workshop – you will be amidst one of the most ancient civilizations and what better to help you connect with the raw life of this incredible region, than to immerse its art and cultural heritage.
* Wildlife/Ecology Impact – The Himalayas is an extremely fragile ecosystem. We will be conducting exchanges and a tour for you to understand first hand from the folks on the ground, striving for community engagement and sustainable practices, to protect Ladakh’s & the Himalayas fragile ecosystem for future generations.
No words or even endless sentences can even remotely describe what a truly magical place Ladakh is! It’s an emotion, a feeling which can only be experienced by being there, with your jaw wide open in awe. From the moment your flight hovers over the young folds of the Himalayas, you will simply be spellbound, its truly an ethereal sanctum. Long ago, Sid read this verse, which we feel describes Ladakh the best:
Ladakh, the land where the sky wears its bluest robe,
A realm of silence, where mountains rise like ancient gods.
Snow-capped peaks, etched in the breath of time,
Whisper secrets to the winds that carve their way through the valleys.
Here, the desert meets the heavens,
And rivers, like liquid sapphire, twist through canyons deep.
The earth, a canvas of ochre and brown,
With patches of emerald, where life dares to bloom.
Ladakh—where time itself seems to slow,
And the heart, too, finds its rhythm,
Beating in harmony with the eternal mountains,
A place where the soul can rest, and the mind can wander free.
