The effects of our consumption behavior are visible in many places. Our plastic and packaging waste pollutes oceans, water and soil …

Do It Yourself (DIY) products seem to be a drop in the bucket … Not the solution to our problem, yet it leads to a more conscious handling of products we use every day: toothpaste, deodorant, creams etc. Such products show how little ingredients are needed. So much that seems necessary can be found in nature. In addition, DIY is a small contribution to less waste on our planet, thereby promoting our creativity as well as sharpening responsible behavior.

In the cosmetics industry microplastics are often used as fillers, binders or abrasives such as in peelings or toothpastes. These tiny plastics can pass through our sink into the vast world of the oceans. There it is been eaten by animals which often leads to death. Microplastic has already been found in marine animals, even in food, for example in sea salt. Our consumption moves in a circle, which does not degrade, stays.

Beach clean ups on Bali show me clearly how much of the everyday garbage gets into the oceans: toothbrushes, lighters, flip-flops, straws, any packaging of shower gel, toothpaste, snacks, drinking bottles, etc. To see nature like that breaks my heart. I cry. Every time.

What has to happen?
What can I do? Me alone? What?

My big wish: Humanity wake up!
I wish that each individual takes responsibility. Takes care. Not just for him or herself, but also for the planet where she or he lives.

The desire to wake up humanity is especially a desire for my own personal wake up: I want to take responsibility, take care of myself, as well as for the planet I live on, I want to act consciously and based in love.

So in my little universe I try to be as plastic-free and as joyful as possible. I compensate all my travels and events by donating to atmosfair. I point out when packaging can be avoided. I consume less and create many things myself, for myself and as gifts for my loved ones. I collect garbage. I am convinced of an organic lifestyle and regenerative energies. I work on myself as I see the outside as a reflection of what is in me myself.

A drop in the bucket?

What is in the big is also in the small.
What is in the small is also in the big.
As above so below.

Change often starts on a small scale and gradually spreads to the big.

To use as less packaging as possible, I enjoy and it feels incredibly good. As long as I keep it within my means. I am very grateful for all the possibilities to shop without packaging. I love it. Thanks!

The body is nature. It is earth, water, fire, air and much more energy.

Plastic free earth. Plastic free humanity. Utopia or optimism?

Do It Yourself (DIY) is a way to save on packaging and to make sure that you provide your body, and therefore nature, with naturalness.

Here are a few recipes for you: Organic. Purely. High-quality.
Please use for all recipes the highest, purest quality available to you!

Toothpaste and toothpowder

5 tablespoons zeolite
5 tablespoons Schlemmkreide
1 tablespoons Himalayan salt or Xylit
1 teaspoon Sangocoral
a little coconut oil

6 drops of peppermint oil or spearmint oil

Optional add a 1 drop of cardamon, 1 drop of cinnamon, 1 drop of copaiba, 1 drop of myrrh, 1 drop of clove essential oil.

As I travel quite a lot and often in the tropics, I prefer to use powder over paste. Powder can not leak 🙂 So I just leave out the coconut oil.

Body scrub

1 tbsp Himalayan salt
Olive oil or another oil of your choice

3 – 5 drops of essential oil.
I like the mix of geranium, clary sage and bergamot essential oil.

The salt removes old skin while the oil nourishes the skin. Apply once a week, not more often. I do not use any creams just peeling once a week and using shower oils, and my skin is happy.

Facial mask

5 tbsp gassoul or clay
5 tbsp rosehip powder
1 teaspoon activated charcoal

1 teaspoon rosehip oil
1 drops of chamomile essential oil

Mix all ingredients and place in a glass jar and store in a cool place.
Put 1 teaspoon of it in a small glass and mix it with a little water and the oils so that it is easy to spread on the face. Leave for 20 minutes and remove with a damp washcloth. If necessary, apply one to two splashes of facial oil.

Deodorant

1/2 coconut oil
1/2 shea butter
1-2 teaspoons of soda
1-2 teaspoons of corn starch

10-15 drops of essential oils.

My favorite mix: Vetiver, Frankincense, Clary Sage essential oil.

Often I use a drop of sandalwood essential oil as deodorant.

Shower oil

Jojoba oil with a few drops of essential oils.

I love the mix of chamomile, ylang ylang and copaiba.
Another great mix is lavender with a hint of sandalwood.

Use 1 or 2 splashes on a washcloth.

Hair oil

1/3 argan oil
1/3 hemp oil
1/3 avocado oil

2-4 drops of rosemary or ylang ylang essential oil.

Use a tiny amount of it 20min before shampooing in your hair, spread especially in the ends.

Facial oil

1/4 rose water
3/4 skin oil
10-15 drops of essential oils

Power oils for Skin Care:

Skin oils
Jojoba oil: the main ingredient gadoleic acid has a similar composition as the skin and can be particularly well absorbed by the skin and provides it with moisture.
Avocado oil: promotes cell regeneration. Its composition is very similar to the skin and therefore allows to sink in deeply, it is very skin-friendly and good for sensitive skin.
Rosehip Oil: contains valuable antioxidants and minerals, for dry and mature skin.
Sea buckthorn oil: promotes wound healing, inhibits inflammation and gives extra glow. Attention: colors strongly.

Essential oils
Sandalwood, Rose, Chamomile, Copaiba, Ylang Ylang, Spikenard, Lavender essential oil.

My favorite mix:
1/4 rose water
3/4 jojoba oil
10 drops of sea buckthorn oil
5ml avocado oil

Optional:
5 drops of sandalwood essential oil
2 drops of copaiba essential oil
2 drops of chamomile essential oil
2 drops of ylang ylang essential oil
1 drop rose essential oil

As a face cleaner use a few splashes on a wet washcloth and wash your face with it.

To nourish put one to two splashes on your cleansed face.

All In One
I also use the oil for showering. Put one or two drops on a wet washcloth and wash the body with it.

I prefer to use this heavenly balm on my lips, under my eyes, on dry skin and on the plane under and in my nose. Super rich and versatile!
