A Yoga Teacher Training in Bali …

… and what makes it so special …

Since about three years, I have been returning to Bali again and again for longer periods. The island has become another home for me.

Bali: like a little cosmos of its own.

If you know the island, you probably know what I mean.

The balinese culture is interwoven in ancient rites and ceremonies, which still to play an important role for most of the islanders. Several times a day you can observe how small offerings are placed with such grace to the edges of the road, to the big and small temples. The offerings are a sign of gratitude for the light of the gods, as well as of soothing of the demons. Every morning at 6:00, you hear from far or near traditional melodies and prayers that greet the sun. This ritual also happens at 12 o’clock, when the sun reaches its highest point, even at 18 o’clock, when it goes down slowly. It feels like a harmonious, natural flow of give and take. Gratitude for often self-evident things, is celebrated in big ceremonies. A warm, friendly, gentle yet strong atmosphere is to be perceived and provides a powerful setting to immerse oneself deeply in the teaching, philosophy and spirituality of Yoga.

It seems that the state of Yoga is alive.

The power of mediation is known to the islanders. Many of the locals grew up with the Mahabaratha. The Mahabharata is an ancient document in which the Bhagavad Gita is part of and the history of the Gita is often being described as the heartpiece of Yoga. When things are in balance, the free flow of energy arises. The need for balance reflects many of the countless rites and ceremonies. Reversing opposites is also a big topic in Yoga.

Bali is like a powerful soil that nourishes as well as transforms.

A Yoga Training in Bali

The trainings are intense. Between 3 and 4 weeks, you dive into the world of Yoga, no distractions, no to do’s, no everyday life.

An exciting time.

At the beginning I was skeptical about such intense trainings. I wondered how to gain the skills and the knowledge of a teacher in such a short time.

In fact, this is still a challenge. The teaching of Yoga is a skill that arises mainly through a lot of practice, but also courage and confidence.

Such a Training is an absolute retreat, you come across a magical short cut that carries you quickly to a state in which Yoga and its meaning, no longer is philosophy but an experience. Your teachings, if you want to teach later, can so be based on real experiences. From experience, it is possible to convey the most powerful. Your students will feel what you are giving to them through your classes! Yoga is a path where it is mainly about experience and practice, less about theory. Personally, both are very important to me. In our Yoga Teacher Trainings Bali both aspects are important, to carry the philosophy into an experience, but also to be understood by the intellect. The training will show you how complex the wide range of Yoga can be, your practice will refine and move on to its next level, both physical and spiritual. After the training, you will be accompanied for an additional 4 months online programm, especially to improve the skills for teaching, through powerful exchange and coaching.
